February 07, This is our initial introduction to Aegisub, so I’m going to go screenshot-heavy on this one. First, it is helpful to create a special project aegisjb on your hard disk, say on Drive C:.

You don’t really need to see the video when you are timing – it usually becomes a distraction. The only exception is when characters have similar voices, and you don’t know who’s talking.

Select a horizontal zoom, vertical zoom, and volume level that you are comfortable with. Horizontal zoom determines how how many seconds you want to see in a given amount of space. The higher you set this, the more precision you get.

Aegishb it too high, and the scrolling will probably be very annoying. Vertical Zoom determines the sensitivity of the analysis, such that quieter sounds can be seen easier.
