I really enjoyed it. It was a lot like Mary Stewart’s books which I’ve read mostly all so I was hoping to find another author similar to her.

I really liked Gabriel and Friday and I wished he had a bigger part. Despite a slightly plodding start, come about a quarter of the way in this becomes an engaging tale, with plenty of mystery and suspense.
